I started out my professional career as a technician working on motorcycles, off-road vehicles, and other repair jobs, and I enjoyed what I did. I also realized that the particular line of work I was in wasn't lucrative enough for my far reaching goals, and I began to explore other options. After some hit or miss ideas, I had a few friends introduce me to coding, and I was pretty leery at first, as the whole thing seemed incredibly alien. After a couple tutorials, and looking at all the learning opportunities, I fell in love. I started researching bootcamps and universities, found General Assembly, and the rest is history.
In December of 2019 I was accepted into General Assembly's Remote Software Engineering Immersive course. I began feeling very comfortable, and short of a couple very challenging days, remained extremely comfortable throughout the course in areas where others struggled. I finished all assignments with 100 percent completion, and focused on areas that I wasnt as familiar with, even if the course didn't specifically call for it.
In March of 2020 I completed Generally Assembly's software engineering course and look forward to all future posibilities. Continuing to update both past projects, and my current knowledge in the industry, I search for the opportunity to join an organization that willl be a good fit for me, and the potential team. I'm excited to continue to build on my existing skills, and contribute to a future employer's needs to the utmost of my abilities. If I've sparked your interest, feel free to send me an e-mail, or connect with me on Linkedin. I would love the opportunity to discuss potential job offers, or even the state of the industry and your feelings on the matter. Thank you for your time!
